Frequently Asked Questions
My defibrillator keeps flashing red. How can I fix this?
Your defibrillator has four LED lights on the left side of your AED. Each light represents a different service; modem, battery, service and electrodes. If you are seeing red flashing lights, this means your defibrillator needs a service or replacement accessories.
If you need to order a new pair of electrode pads, and/or a new AED battery you can order through our online order form. For more information on how to check and maintain your AED, click here.
Can I upgrade my FRED PA-1 to an online version?
If you have purchased a FRED PA-1 Defibrillator, you are unable to add the online features to this device. The FRED PA-1 and the FRED PA-1 Online are two separate defibrillators and must be purchased separately.
Can I change my fully automatic defibrillator to a semi automatic?
It is not possible to change a fully automatic version into a semi-automatic version and vice versa. We recommend purchasing the fully-automatic defibrillator.
What's the difference between fully- automatic and semi automatic?
In its automatic version, the FRED PA-1 delivers the shock without any action of the rescuer. In its semi-automatic version, the FRED PA-1 prompts the rescuer to deliver the shock by pressing the shock button.
